In The Trenches: Layering For Transitional Weather

I am suspecting Spring might skip us this year in New York area, weather being either cold, damp and rainy or sudden heating up to 82 degrees and all! The volatile weather calls for layering and a chic belted jacket or trench coat comes in handy for easy transition from cold to warm weather. I am still on the hunt for a long trench coat (this one being on my wishlist, so badly!) but this asymmetrical, (kinda collarless) short coat on got my attention and I am wearing it ALL THE TIME lately!

Shoes - Antonia Melani via Dillard's / Similar option Here and Here

Graphic Tee - Shopper's Stop (India)
Very similar graphic tee options from Express, JCPenney
The beautiful link necklace is one of my current favorite accessories now. Perfect as a single piece or layered with stack of bracelets, this beautiful bracelet is must-have for Spring/Summer! Maya Brenner's designs are a favorite among celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, Eva Longoria, Jessica Biel, Demi Moore and Katy Perry among many others!
I won the gold circle necklace by Dogeared jewelry in a giveaway by one of my favorite bloggers Jenn from The Stylish Housewife and it is such a delicate, beautiful little thing!

This post brought to you by Social Power. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever found yourself mulling over a prblem - big or small - and thought to yourself, only if I could make people aware of it , may be I could fix it! Or had an idea to solve a problem but never knew what to do with it? I have (I wish somebody could make a bottle of nail polish remover with a small wand/brush to clean up the pesky 'outside the line' nailpolish stain on your finger tips!)  and other than calling my best friend and discussing it with her, I have rarely found a better way to put it out there - until I came across Social Power This a community built around a simple idea - If we join voices, we create awareness and solve problems.

Social Power has a very easy to navigate platform where users post the most important, resolvable issues affecting them as well as others. Once a user shares that issue on the site, Social Power works to raise awareness for it within its own social network, while the issue creator does the same in his or hers. On Social Power, you can support an exisiting issue from fashion (H&M should have an online retail store in US!) to food (Chipotle should offer home delivery!) to everyday commute (metro crads should be avialble on cell phones!) and many other social and tecnological issues or you could make a difference by start your own cause/issue and let others join you. Once a cause is suported by at leat 1,000 people, social power team with its vast experience in conflict reloution come into the picture and they take on the initiative to make sure it gets resolved!

I just posted my simple problem of cleaning 'outside the nail' polish and asked people to join forces with me! May be a nailpolish remover manufacturer will listen to us:-)

So, what is the issue you want solved? Come join Social Power, voice your issue and harness the power of social influence to solve it!

Tree Hut: Natural TLC for hands, feet and whole body

This post brought to you by Tree Hut. All opinions are 100% mine.

Amid the sea of lotions, creams and skin care products in the market, it is very easy to be lured by products that are toxic in long run, even if they work for short term. I believe nothing is better for our body than the products derived from nature. Tree Hut is one such company that is bringing organic, natural products to people for over a decade. I used Tree Hut hand cream recently and loved the texture and smell and the way it made my hands (palms and cuticles too) soft and smooth. So when I was contacted by Tree Hut for my views about their products and to introduce their brand to my readers, I said yes immediately!!
Tree Hut is a company that believes in honest products. All of their ingredients are natural from certified organic shea butter, natural oils and extracts used in their products, to coconut shells imported from the Polynesian Islands! Their hand and foot products are paraben free and are the scrubs have real sugar and natural oils to give you smooth, satiny feel and promote anti-aging and elasticity in skin.
Tree Hut hand cream is infused with argan & rose hip Oil to provide natural anti-aging and healing properties, and Tree Hut foot scrub with pure sugar gently exfoliates dry, thick skin to a silky perfection! Tree Hut foot cream is a perfect indulgence (on such a budget price!) to slather on your feet  and heel before bed!! Tree Hut facility is based in USA and they never test their products in animals.
Other than hand and foot products, they also have luxurious shower wash, body butters, body lotions and scrubs. I love the exotic Amazon Pequi shower wash and  scrubs and also soothing lavender and chamomile products.

For more information about Tree Hut and for updates about the newest addition of their divine products like Tree Hut on Facebook and follow Tree Hut on Twitter
Speaking of natural beauty, here is my idea of perfect Spring/Summer outfit that showcases the natural beauty - a feminine floral dress, comfortable, chic sandals and beautiful mani/pedi to flaunt your smooth feet and hands! Summer is all about being pretty without effort! Be natural and just be YOU!

Take your first step towards natural beauty by trying a Tree Hut product. I know you will not be disappointed! Tree Hut products are available in Walmart, Ulta and Target and online on Amazon and CVS among other local store chains!

Lookbook - Simply Vera Vera Wang Hi Lo Hem Dress

I am the first to admit that hi-low hem trend is having a 'blogger fatigue' moment this year. They are omnipresent, almost every blogger has a  hi-low hem dress on their blog, and the overused style kinda took away their charm for me. But when on a sunny Spring day I reached for this Simply Vera Vera Wang  dress (that I got last Spring from Kohl's) I realized, clich├ęd or not, the hi low hem still looks pretty and feminine and moves with a sinuous grace that allows its crime of being too common go unpunished!

Shoes - via Dillard's, similar option 1, 2

I always wanted to pose like this! ( I call it 'lounging in a limo' pose!)
