Off Shoulder Ruffled Sleeves Piping Blouse // Black& White Striped Culottes // Everlane Loafers

For the longest time, I avoided straight stripes thinking it will make me look weird, but this pair of Zara wide leg cropped pants /culottes caught my eyes few months ago and I got them on an impulse. I was waiting for warm day to wear them and got a chance yesterday. I paired these culottes with a Zara top. The black piping on this off shoulder ruffled sleeve top makes it really pop! I love the way its' sleeves move. The cotton poplin fabric gives it a crisp look too. Both of these pieces are old but I found very similar top (Option 1 //Option 2)  and very similar pair of pants  (Option 1 //Option 2) if you want to try this look.

I can't praise my Everlane Modern Point loafers enough. They are chic, comfortable and go with almost everything.

Lookbook: Black & White Zara Dress

Sometimes a simple black and white look is all you need. This dress was a last minute 'not sure' purchase from recent Zara sale, but I loved it when I got home. For cold weather, it goes well with tights and  OTK boots, and I can style it with bright pumps or sandals from Spring/Summer. 

The Sydney Shopper from Fossil is my new go-to tote these days. The great quality, enough space for even a laptop and variety of pretty colors, this one is a must-have!

Lookbook: Black & White Style With ASOS Midi Skirt

If I were an outfit, I'd be this one! Everything in today's outfit is as close to my personal style as it could be! Full midi skirt, simple drape blouse, bold yet subtle necklace, ladylike bag and classic pumps - all the pieces are right up my alley! If I were to face a situation where I could pick only one outfit for the rest of my life (*faints*), it will be this!

Style Trend: Chevron Stripes

This shirt is just $13. Go ahead, envy.

That's what happens when I go shopping not really looking for a particular piece of clothing! I find great bargains and deals. But when I really need something specific, (specially if I don't have much time and need something right now) somehow retail Gods conspire against me and I find that the item I want is NOWHERE on sale, most likely not available in my size! LOL! Does that happen to you too, or it is just my weird shopping curse??  

The original shirt doesn't have the front bow - I added one with a silk sash (belt from another dress), you can even use it as a belt  for a peplum effect as this shirt is nicely cinched at the back and flares up at the hip when belted! 

I got this shirt at TJ Maxx for just $12.99, go check your local store if they have it, otherwise a good option could be this Modcloth chevron blouse. The Forever 21 jeans was just $20 last year, (good option is this one - also from Forever 21 for just $22) I feel great that I can wear a F21 jeans (which is always short for me) as the on-trend ankle length style!
