Continuing with the Spring Dresses, today lets talk about statement making, graphic, colorful stripes! love this geometric stripe pattern, feminine cut and and in-your-face bold colors of this dress. Reminds me of psychedelic 70s print and I love the retro vibe of it. The halter style with a pretty bow at the neck makes it very feminine and girly - a look I always welcome:-). This particular dress is unfortunately sold out but I've rounded up some of my favorite bold, graphic stripe pattern dresses below.

The loud-mouthed cousin of nautical stripes, the chevron pattern has been a constant presence in fashion. Even though it is a classic pattern, it still has a very preppy and fresh appeal - specially in a retro style shift dress in black and white! This Sears dress is a great summer-to-fall piece with its statement-making stripes, comfortable cut and cool 60s vibe. Twiggy I may be not, legs but I do have! #ExcuseMyFashionYoda

Style Trend: Chevron Stripes

This shirt is just $13. Go ahead, envy.

That's what happens when I go shopping not really looking for a particular piece of clothing! I find great bargains and deals. But when I really need something specific, (specially if I don't have much time and need something right now) somehow retail Gods conspire against me and I find that the item I want is NOWHERE on sale, most likely not available in my size! LOL! Does that happen to you too, or it is just my weird shopping curse??

The original shirt doesn't have the front bow - I added one with a silk sash (belt from another dress), you can even use it as a belt for a peplum effect as this shirt is nicely cinched at the back and flares up at the hip when belted!

I got this shirt at TJ Maxx for just $12.99, go check your local store if they have it, otherwise a good option could be this Modcloth chevron blouse. The Forever 21 jeans was just $20 last year, (good option is this one - also from Forever 21 for just $22) I feel great that I can wear a F21 jeans (which is always short for me) as the on-trend ankle length style!
