Resuming where I left off....

Hello internet! Its been a while :) Almost 5 years since I blogged here. In 2011, I started blogging because I wanted to document my style, share my shopping tips and style ideas to the world (or whoever was stumbling upon my little blog). For 7 years I continued and had fun, but 2018 onwards, life became super busy. I went on living stylishly, but stopped documenting it. I guess with Instagram and other apps, traditional blogging felt too much work and too little audience for it. But I always felt, no matter how many people read it, a blog is a space that I control, and I can truly call 'my own'. So here I am, in 2023, resuming where I left off. I am again planning to write, document what I feel is interesting and delightful, and hopefully useful to whoever reads it, This time, I am committed:-)

Review: Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific For Nordstrom Menswear Plaid Blazer

 One of my favorite style influencers Blair Eadie has launched a limited time clothing and accessories capsule in collaboration with Nordstrom. I love her cheerful, preppy and timeless style. All the pieces from her Atlantic Pacific X Halogen line are very true to her style aesthetics. I checked out the collection in person in the store and this Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Menswear Plaid Blazer is hands down my favorite piece. It is classic, timeless and even though its plaid and menswear inspired, it has a feminine silhouette to it because it nips at the waist. I love the length (I am 5'8" tall) and the double breasted style. It comes with matching cropped pants, so you can wear it as work suit. I only got the blazer to pair it with my jeans for a laid back yet polished look.

I didn't get a whole lot of stuff  as not all of the pieces were being sold in stores, but I have put my online order for following pieces and can't wait to get my hands on them!

I live for midi dresses and skirts. I simply adore this hemline and that's why I really like Eve Mendes Collection For New York and Company. Lookbook : Lillies Of The Valley Print Dress

Now that the good weather is finally here, I am so happy I can wear dresses every day and no worry about cold legs. I am always cold! Do you guys have the same problem? My husband and my daughter are exact opposite of me - they are totally comfortable in 60degree weather ( I guess like most normal people LOL!), but I need a jacket as soon as temperature gets below 74!

Coming back to the dress, the beautiful indigo color and the retro vibes of this dress are simply perfect. I love that it is customized for my size, height and measurements, and still affordable!
