7 Ways To Wear Jeans: A Week's Outfit With DENIZEN® from Levi's®

If you follow my blog and social media, you probably already know that I am a self-avowed jeans queen! I wear jeans more than any other style of clothing in my wardrobe. I know it is not easy to find jeans that fit perfectly! Different brands have different sizes, cuts and fits. That's why I am always on the lookout for a pair of blue jeans that complements my body, fits my tall frame and most importantly gives a boost to my behind! Well, today I can say that I found that perfect pair in DENIZEN® from Levi's®. These jeans are available in modern and curvy fits that really flatter any shape and size. I got my usual size 4 in skinny fit. It is called Essential Stretch Modern Skinny and I am so happy that they make it in Regular, Short and Long sizes! I can't tell you how happy I was to find the long sizes IN STORE!!! Usually brands have long sizes only online, but in my local Target, I found the long inseam for DENIZEN® from Levi's®. It has the perfect amount of stretch, so it fits like a glove and makes movement and sitting down very comfortable. The contoured waistband eliminates that annoying gaping (which BTW such a deal breaker for me while shopping for jeans)! The premium denim is super soft to touch and feels very luxurious. I tried these jeans for a week to see if they kept their shape and I am happy to report that after one wash, these jeans are as good as brand new! I thought it would be fun to show you all how I created 7 different looks for different occasions with my new favorite skinny DENIZEN® from Levi's® jeans for a whole week of outfits.

Look 1 - Denim on Denim

Come fall and my chambray and denim shirts will be out in full force. DENIZEN® from Levi's® makes a great outfit paired with a denim/chambray shirt, tan booties and a fringe bag (Fall's hottest trend BTW)

Look 2 - Day Time Glam

I love to wear skinny jeans with fun heels, bold colors and accessorize the outfit with a statement necklace. It is a very easy and foolproof way to get ready in minutes for a lunch date, going out with girlfriends or any other event you need to look polished but still want to have a casual comfort of  denim.

Look 3 - Casual Friday

Dark wash, non-ripped jeans can be a good alternative for work if your workplace allows casual dressing.  I am out of the corporate world now, but I still love to relive my casual Friday days. This outfit is an easy transition from my lunch date outfit above with a simple change up of shoes and accessories, topped with a tailored blazer.

Look 4 - Weekend Vibes

Nothing can say 'Fabulous Weekend' better than a nautical outfit. I am ready for a fun weekend with my DENIZEN® from Levi's® skinny jeans - styled with a nautical striped tee shirt, fedora and fun, colorful accessories.

Look 5 - Back To Bascis

One of my all time favorite ways to style a pair of jeans is to wear them with a crisp white button front shirt. I styled my DENIZEN® from Levi's® modern skinny jeans with my favorite white shirt, bright flats for a fun, casual, laid back look.

Look 6 - Awaiting Fall

One of the best part of my DENIZEN® from Levi's® skinny jeans is that they are not bulky. The skinny fit makes them a perfect pair of jeans to tuck under boots. My OTK boots are my fall/winter staple footwear and I am so happy that even my skinniest boots were able to go over my jeans without creating that sausage-casing look! :-)

Olay Skincare And Glam Beauty Board Favorites {Reviews}

 Holiday season is upon us and that means we all get more occasions to primp and deck ourselves. I have been fortunate enough to receive some really wonderful and useful beauty products via Mode Media just in time for the season of parties!  Here are my thoughts on the products I received - you will be seeing more beauty looks using these products in my upcoming Holiday looks!

1 - Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

The foundation of a dolled up look always start with the basics - good skin and luminous complexion. Although I have long way to go in that department (still get zits and break outs even in my 30s! ughh) but that doesn't mean I am immune to skin aging. I have been a Olay brand fan for long time (been using the Regenrist moisturizer as well) and their skincare products have been a huge hit with my family members too. This super smooth micro sculpting cream is very hydrating but doesn't feel oily. I have been trying this one for few days now and I can see that my skin feels softer immediately after using this. I also love the fresh, clean smell and the lightweight feel of it.

2 - Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick

I am big lipstick lover. So naturally I love this soft matte finish lipstick from Clinique. The color 'petal' is such an ethereal pretty shade. A great color for any season and look.

3 - Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics' Unknown Pleasures Nail Lacquer

This color is called 'True Royal Blue' and I have to say I have never seen such a gorgeous shade of blue! It is more on a purple side without being too loud. Perfect accessory for holiday looks. Royal is always in, right!

4 - Demeter Fragrances - Pistachio Ice Cream

I don't know hoe they do it, but Demeter Fragrances always manage to get unique, luscious scents for such an affordable prices! Pistachio Ice Cream scent is just beyond yummy! I wsh computers were able to sense the smells - this one is pure e happiness in a bottle! It wil make a great Holiday gift for any female on your gift list!

5 - L'Occitane Shea Whipped Body Cream

L'Occitane Shea Whipped Body Cream is another one of my most favorite products in this bag! The whipped texture is air light and the soothing properties of shea butter makes my hands super soft and smooth every time I put it on!. This is onee of my bed side table regular for sure!

6 - Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Liner

I am new to this brand but just one use and I can now understand why this is a favorite of Alexa Chung! Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Liner is a multitask eye product. Designed to use as an eyeshadow, this one actually works perfect for lower lash liner and a regular liner for upper lash line as well. The flat brush on one end of it is a great tool for perfecting the eye shadow every time!

7 - The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Gel

I have been a long time user of tea tree oil for tackling the zits and redness around them. The natural chemicals in tea tree oils kill the bacteria and really help in soothing the skin. the Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Gel takes the amazing tea tree oil to whole another level. The gel formula makes the targeted application super easy and the compact tube is perfect to carry in the purse and during travels, so I am ready to fight the blemishes anytime anywhere!  

8 - Rita Hazan Weekly Remedy

Rita Hazan Weekly Remedy is a boon to anybody with dull, dry and damaged hair. This is the conditioner on steroids! You don't even have to sit through 5 minutes like other hair mask treatments. It is instant gratification - after shampoo, just use treatment 1 (treat) and rinse and then use treatment 2 (seal) and rinse immediately!  Instant shine and luster to your hair! I used it only once (today) and you can see the shine in my upcoming outfit posts! 

9 - C.O. Bigelow Cold & Flu Soak (Herbal formula no. 122)

With the winter and snow season upon us, it is inevitable to have cold and get stuffy nose at least once a season. I believe that common cold and congestion are best treated with herbal medicines. C.O. Bigelow cold & flu soak has pure natural essential oils, including eucalyptus and peppermint, with immune-supporting extracts of willow bark, echinacea and ginger to create a comforting therapeutic soak. This homey feeling formula relieves body aches, pains and congested nasal passages. I have to say I am tempted to use it  when it is really cold outside, even if I am not having any symptom of cold! A true therapeutic treat!

10 - Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Thicken & Full 3D Boosting Creme

I have still to use Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Thicken & Full 3D Boosting Creme. The product description says that you just need to apply a small amount of cream in your towel dried hair and softly rub it in from root to end. Then just blow dry and style as you want. It has in added heat protection and the inbuilt flexible hold leaves hair left bouncing with fullness all day without being weighed down. I love the texture of this cream and it smells really good! Can't wait to try it when I wash my hair next!

Spring 2014 Hair Trends & TRESemmé 7 Day Keratin Smooth Collection Review

 Since moving to New York two years ago, I have been enjoying a lot of things New York City has to offer. One of the most exciting among them (for me) is the New York Fashion Week. As a blogger and as a fashion lover, the NYFW is my inspiration board! I love the energy, the pageantry, the fashion and the opportunity to have a glimpse of fashion trends in advance, so I can re-imagine them for my wardrobe and translate them from runway to real-way!

Some moments from NYFW Fall14

Fashion Week is an amazing resource not only for the clothes, but also for hair and beauty. During NYFW Spring 2014, I had seen a lot of cool, laid back updos, messy buns and loose waves. One of the Spring 2014 hair looks that stayed with me was from Rebecca Minkoff show where TRESemmé stylist had created a braided style. For my face front braids never really worked, so I tweaked the style a little to have a braid-like effect without actually braiding, and made a low side bun for a sophisticated yet easy going hair style. It works great for formal occasion where you need to fancy up a bit (think weddings, charity galas, even Holiday balls). See my video tutorial below.

How the collection works -

Wash the hair with Keratin Smooth 7 Day Smooth Shampoo and conditioner. The hair was silkier, smoother and shinier! Great part - I just curled the ends couple days later and on 4th day, I tried this side bun, my hair was beyond fabulous to work them into an updo! Usually I start getting frizz or oily hair at the crown after 2-3 days, but with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth 7 Day system, I didn't need to worry about anything!! Fashion Week was conquered!!
