Style-Delights: My Fashion (And Comfort) Do-Over Moment!

My Fashion (And Comfort) Do-Over Moment!

I consider myself a person who does not regret much in life! I am as happy-go-lucky as they come! I believe life is a series of experiences, good or bad, happy or sad, exciting or dull - finally all the things you see, do and feel make you the person you are, the person your are supposed to be! But there are moments when you wish for a second chance or a do-over! If not to change the outcome of the event, then just to make the experiences a little better! So when I got a chance to share a do-over moment by Frigidaire, the first thing that came to my mind was a June 2011 evening in Evanston - the day my husband graduated from Business School at Kellogg School Of Management! It was a warm day and the commencement speech was delivered by none other than Stephen Colbert of Colbert Nation. The festivities started early in the day and I dressed up as a proud wife in my Sunday best - a beautiful strapless silk dress! The thing I didn't realize was that Chicago area weather tends to be moody, and Spring evenings tend to be on the cooler side, even in June!
Here I am on the stands just before the temperature started to drop! Luckily, my daughter's had her jacket in the bag!
By the time the grads walked up in the huge stadium to receive their degrees, it was late afternoon and I was rubbing my palms up and down my arms, shivering a bit with the breeze and honestly hoping the ceremony would just speed up!! That day I realized the power of summer-layering! The easy style where you are ready for 15 degree temperature change and still look fabulous!

In the end I had fun, enjoyed seeing my husband being cheered on and felt the swell of pride in my heart for the smartest guy I know! But a soft wrap or a summer cardigan would have made that experience a whole lot better! Given a do-over chance, I'd take my favorite shrug with me! Speaking of do-overs - The Frigidaire Gallery™Dishwasher gets dishes fully cleaned the first time, so there are no dish do-overs. Nearly half of adults admit to re-washing and/or re-drying dishes after the dishwasher cycle has been completed. To prevent dishwasher do-overs, Frigidaire® is stepping in with its new Gallery® Dishwasher featuring the OrbitCleanTM Wash Arm, ensuring dishes are cleaned right the first time. Don't you love when you get thing right the first time!!!
Do you have an event or an incident or a part of your life which you will do-over given a chance? If you do, share it on Frigidaire Facebbok Page. For each do over Frigidaire will donate $1 to Save The Children!
