Lookbook: Coral & Houndstooth (And INKKAS shoes giveaway winner)

With the temperatures dipping below freezing, It is getting harder to take outfit pictures these days! This outfit was actually clicked on the weekend when we had (somewhat) better weather. The Zara lookalike
(remember Spring 2013?) coat is from 6ks.com, the fit is nice but it is surely not made for colder climes! It is linen blend kind of fabric, that you might use during early Spring.
A word of caution: I think there are a lot of Asia based online retailers who either sell the pieces 'rejected' by their client brands or they are selling the replica designs, often times made shabbily. I am not sure how consistent they are with the quality and how trustworthy they are with the transaction information. With 6ks.com, my experience has been mixed - out of 3 jackets, one was good quality (the one I am wearing), one was OK and the third was actually not good. So I can't say go ahead and shop with them without reservations.

Lookbook: Ikat Print Maxi Dress & Zolie Designs Necklace

I have a long time love affair with maxi dresses. I remember seeing old pictures of my mom in 70s in beautiful maxi dresses and thinking she has to be the most beautiful woman in the world! I think those images make me think of maxi dresses as the ultimate feminine dressing! I saw this ikat printed one from Willow and Clay at TJMaxx (Hey, can I say I am a Maxi-nista and a Maxxinista!) and immediately fell in love with the color and the boho print. And what do you know, it has a slit going up to the knees too!

I needed a pretty, feminine yer statement necklace to accessorize this outfit as it has a very simple neckline. This Amazonite bead necklace by Zolie Designs fit the bill perfectly! I had seen gorgeous, hand made bead jewelry by Zolie Designs on many of my favorite blogs and always loved the beautiful craftsmanship. These bow knot cork wedges from MyHotshoes.com are made of linen like fabric that is very soft, the low heels make them perfect for all-day wear and I love the turquoise color - reminds me of ocean, beaches and summer time! They are just $10!! (say what!!)
