Look Book: Printed Shirt + Colored Denim

Yes, colored jeans is my new uniform it seems. My denim outfits with colors like coral, hot pink, mint, red and now purple make me sort of colored denim enthusiast! It is a fun trend and so versatile that I can wear it all year round with appropriate accessories and shoes. This one is from Liverpool Jeans Company that fits like a second skin. I have couple more skinny jeans in this brand and so far totally loving it - even after several washes, the stretch and shape remains perfect and the colors remain deep too. The shirt is from Choies a brand I recently discovered, and really liked their collection. This satin finish shirt has a very beautiful scarf-like pattern in the back and the grid print like pattern in the front. The glossy cream color is perfect to pair with jewel toned bottoms.

Baby got back!

Spring Brights And Black & White

Someone is obsessed with colored denim. That someone would be me. You want proof? Look at this!! What can I do, some things are just too pretty to not repeat! This coral jeans I picked up from Strawberry store (I am not sure if it is a national chain, in NYC there are a few of them) for just $13 last year! (Yes, I have an eye for good deal! Thank you!) The satin top was designed by me, tailored by Alka's Boutique in Delhi (For those living in Delhi NCR, it is a great boutique in NOIDA, that can custom tailor anything under the sun for you!!  Email me if you want more information) I loved the fabric and basket weave pattern in black and white and I knew I wanted a loose fitting blouse made out of it!
Shoes - Guess via TJMaxx,( try this very similar option from Nine West)
Earrings - InPink Jewelry

Back From Vacation!

A month long vacation is over. I am back in New York, recuperating from the crazy, fun time I had in India with my family. We visited the northern part of India (where I am from) and the southern Part of India (Kerala), where my husband is from.  The memories of the majestic mountains and the roaring sea, of spicy food and signature Indian sweets, of bargain shopping and luxe designer stores visits, of crazy traffic and open roads, of late night cups of 'chai' and endless chatting, of jaw splitting laughter and bitter sweet parting tears - I have it all boxed up in my heart to take comfort from when the time gets tough and I need solace.
Family. Home. Relationships. The stuff worth living for.
Resort Alert: If you are planning to take a vacation in this part of the country, a great place to stay is the Moutnain Trail Resort

The two week stay in my husband's hometown was heavenly. The fertile land of Kerala has tropical flowers blooming everywhere, the coconut trees dancing in sea breeze welcome you to the lush land often called 'God's own Country'. A must visit place if you are planning a trip to India.

Lucky to live just a few hundred yards from this sleepy beach. Bliss.

Fashion wise, it was a comfortable, casual, easy-breezy kinda vacation. I made use of my colored denim and lightly layered them for the early spring weather. Who knew back home I'll be greeted with dipping mercury with wind chill that makes it feel in the 30s!! Good thing I have the warm memories of my vacation to see me through the chill of New York!

Here is to great vacations and warmer weather! Has spring arrived in your neck of the woods yet? Share your thoughts and connect with me on
