It is officially fall but here in NY area, we had a gorgeous 80 degree weekend! Not that I am complaining, because hey, longer the Summer, the better it is. I love fall but I am not sure if I am ready for a long cold winter (which surely is coming, ready or not! LOL!) For the weekend fun, colorful look, these pants are perfect. Whimsical and playful and equally sartorially 'trendy' (two words for ya - Céline Runway!) these are my favorite pants and I intend to keep them for next Summer and the summer after, and then...you get the idea!:-)

Lookbook : Blue Hibiscus

In Kerala, the southern state of India, my mother-in-law has a beautiful garden full of tropical flowers & plants. Hibiscus - one of the signature Kerala flowers -bloom in abundance there; in bright red, pale yellow, delicate peach and even blushing pink and lilac. This Zara skirt reminds me of the Kerala beaches, sea breeze and 'Amamma's garden'. Summer in its full glory!

Pencil skirts are my wardrobe staple. They work in almost every season, situation and time of the day. I love them in solid colors, jersey knits, tweed, and print alike. The mirror prints have been really popular for past couple of seasons and this Spring/Summer too they will be in again. This skirt from JCPenney is my new favorite for its fit, length, fabric and amazing print. The print specially - it is very runway/designer look with affordable price! How can you resist!!

LookBook: Phillip Lim For Target Pullover, Coldwater Creek Denim

Even though denim is as essential to our style as salt is to food, THE JEANS is having a moment right now. From colored to printed to ultra dressy brocade and embroidered - you can find a pair of denim that will suit you for any occasion you have in mind. For Fall 2013, Coldwater Creek have really outdone themselves when it comes to denim. Their fall collection is stylish, well fitting and totally in-the-moment! I had the chance to collaborate with Coldwater Creek and try out the Fall denim line for myself. This is one of my favorite jeans from their Fall 13 collection. The super feminine brocade ankle jeans is dressy enough to wear at dinner yet playful enough to dress down! It fits at my natural waist and has a really flattering fit, specially at the hip and butt area (the ZONE for all womenfolks!)

Fall Dressing: Houndstooth And Mixed Matrials

One of my favorite pattern for Fall/Winter is houndstooth. The classic pattern is usually used in wool or twill material and never goes out of style. I saw these silky, cuffed ankle pants in houndstooth print (not woven) at Target and thought that they were a nice modern twist on the classic pattern. These are an easy pair to dress up or dress down. I decided to dress these pants up with heels yet keep the things casual with mixed material Zara top in knit sleeves and perforated faux-leather front.
