Style rule #35 : If you need to copy, copy DVF! I love the classic, feminine, timeless style of Diane von Furstenberg, but not always love the price tag! This front tie blouse in black chiffon by DVF is one such piece. I wanted this style in my budget. But most blouses were either too flimsy or too short on sleeves for me. Also, I wanted the lining in the shirt to avoid the hassle of camisole or see-through situations. My solution: get it tailor made! Buy some black chiffon, lining fabric and find a trusty tailor to do the sewing! Ta Da!
I wore a soft leather obi belt by ASOS on the skirt to give it a high waist look. This belt is pure awesomeness!

There are some great tailors in New York, but if you search, you will find some good tailors in any city you live in! A good place to start is the local dry cleaners who usually have in-house tailors for alterations of can refer someone for you. You need to be clear what you want - get pictures, explain clearly what you are looking for. Even if you are not looking for copying a designer style, a good tailor can help you make a piece of garment fit better, and make custom adjustments (lining, size of of bows, type of fabric etc)
