Recap: Look Good Feel Better Beauty Editors Day Event at Saks Fifth Avenue

If you are my twitter buddy, you must have known about my participation in the national Beauty Editors Day event at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. The details of which you can read in my article on examiner.com. But in case you missed it, here are some more photos and details of the great event. Look Good Feel Better, the organization helping cancer patients with beauty and hair advice to adjust with the appearance related changes caused by treatments, brought the first ever Beauty Editors Day to US.  LGFB partnered with 32 leading magazines' beauty editors and top brands for a fundraiser and awareness campaign for the organization.

The event gave customers an opportunity to have a one on one 20 minutes consultation with a beauty editor at a leading beauty brand's counter at Saks Fifth Avenue. The editors discussed the fall trends for beauty and makeup and previewed the latest products while the beauty experts gave participants a mini-makeover. The ticket for the event and consultation was $30 benefiting the LGFB program.

The Look Good Feel Better program offers free workshops and support to people with cancer to provide lessons on cosmetics, skin and nail care, wigs, turbans, accessories and wardrobe styling to help mitigate the appearance-related side effects of their treatment. Since the program began 23 years ago, it has served more than 800,000 people with cancer in the U.S. and more than 1.2 million people with cancer around the world.
Look out for LGFB Beauty Editors Day next year and make sure to attend and be a part of this wonderful cause.
