Lookbook - Simply Vera Vera Wang Hi Lo Hem Dress

I am the first to admit that hi-low hem trend is having a 'blogger fatigue' moment this year. They are omnipresent, almost every blogger has a  hi-low hem dress on their blog, and the overused style kinda took away their charm for me. But when on a sunny Spring day I reached for this Simply Vera Vera Wang  dress (that I got last Spring from Kohl's) I realized, clichéd or not, the hi low hem still looks pretty and feminine and moves with a sinuous grace that allows its crime of being too common go unpunished!

I always wanted to pose like this! ( I call it 'lounging in a limo' pose!)

  1. What a pretty dress! I don't own a hi-low hem dress, I felt they were too trendy. I did buy a hi-low hem skirt for a super duper deal and have yet to wear it. I should just even out the hem so I may put some good use to it.

  3. I don't have any of these kinds of dresses, I don't like them & they are too everywhere for me. But...even saying that....yours is actually the first one I've seen in this design and is actually quite gorgeous. You look stunning, have a great week x

  5. I'm kinda sick of seeing hi low dresses everywhere too, but you've really rocked this one!! I think the fabric makes a huge difference - just any fabric doesn't work for a hi low dress.

  12. Your dress is gorgeous Jyoti! I love the print and colors and the hi-low hem has been in for a long time, and even though bloggers have outworn this trend, it is still sexy and feminine always. :) I have a high-low hem dress for almost 10 years in my closet that I busted out last year with and it just shows you how trends always come back no matter what! Have a lovely day. The weather has been gorgeous lately, hasn't it?!!! :) xx Pip

  14. I have to say I haven't done a hi-low hem because I'm not a fan of it. Honestly this is the prettiest hi-low that I've seen yet. It's not as pronounced and it has a floaty feminine feel that makes it feel so much less cliched. Simply gorgeous!
