Soaking The Sun With Tropical Trends

As we are on the tail end of Summer and so every sunny day is an opportunity to soak up the sun before the crisp Fall bewitches us with its chilly beauty! Last week I week on a river cruise in New York City, enjoying the great weather and amazing NYC skyline views. But fun in the sun always needs sun protection. specially during the direct contact with sun rays. A sun hat is a not only a sun protectant, but a chic accessory as well. I recently got introduced to Tropical Trends - a glamours brand of hats with great style! This hat comes with a jaunty 4 inch wide brim (available in four colors) and with paper braid to adjust the size to fit any head:-) On board the deck, this trusty Tropical Trends hat was my savior!

These hats are foldable and really easy to pack in your beach tote or vacation bag! I wore it all through the afternoon and as we got ready to go below deck, it was neatly folded to fit in my handbag!

Lookbook: Linen Shirt & White Denim

When I travel, I like to pack pieces that I can mix and match so I needn't pack a whole lotta stuff, but still can create fresh outfits for the entire vacation. During my recent travel to west coast of Canada, I made use of my linen/gauze shirts (they pack light and wrinkle in a touristy way!) A pair of chic comfortable shoes and a well fitting pair of jeans also became part of my 'vacation uniform'!

Lookbook: Striped Maxi, Panama Hat

First of all, thank God for chic hats! Specially on a vacation where one can spend her time sight seeing and not worrying about fixing the hair:-) On my recent vacation, I survived a week on dry shampoo (I love Blow Pro) and my trusty Panama hat from Kohl's (similar by JCPenny for $11!) For some sight seeing in Vancouver and an evening stroll in Stanley Park, my maxi dress (from TJMaxx for just $35) and flat sandals came in really handy. Comfort above all:-)

It is #Cool2LookHot with Hot Legs!

 #shop
We all want smooth, silky legs and our hair removal process makes all the difference between hot legs and not legs! As someone who really hates the razor nicks and cuts while shaving the legs, I am a big fan of leg waxes. Recently I got a chance to use Hot Legs Waxing Products and I knew I had to try it out! I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community and this opportunity to buy and try out Hot Legs waxing products has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

Hot Legs warm wax has a microwavable formula, it melts smoothly and when you spread it on the skin, it forms a semi-stiff layer than can be easily peeled off, taking all the unwanted hair with it! When I use other waxes, usually I am out of my strips quicker than the wax - but with Hot Legs warm wax, I don't need to worry abut strips! The wax cools on contact and forms a strip all by itself! How quick and easy is that? This wax is specially formulated for sensitive skin so it is good to use for sensitive areas like your upper lips, under arms or bikni line.
Hot Legs have some really amazing hair removal products, and one such easy and quick product is their Cool Gel Wax Strips! You don't even need to microwave anything with them!! Great for travel, vacation and in between waxes touch ups! This video gives the deets on this uper cool product!

Hot Legs Products are available in Walgreens, Duane Reade, Ulta, Drugstore.com and on HotlegsProducts.com. I bought the  warm wax and after-waxing oil from Duane Reade - reason being the easy accessibility of  Duane reade stores in New York City! They have a store right in Penn Station too! So even if you don't live in Manhattan, you can easily shop at Duane Reade of you travel to the City from NJ, Long Island etc! You can see the details of my Hot Legs products shopping experience at Duane Reade  on my Google Plus album.
Oh, one more thing, if you are a man and want to get that hairy monkey off your back (you know what I mean!!) check out BareForMen line of hair removing products!

Naturally Stylish : My #AllNaturalSecrets

"In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous." ~Aristotle
I believe nature is our best guide for inspiration - colors, textures, fragrances, designs, health, functionality and of course youthfulness - all the marvelous things are derived from nature, right in front of our eyes, all around us. I know it is not always easy being 'green' and live naturally , specially when it comes to beauty, cosmetics and skin care products. Fortunately there are more awareness in consumers and growing demand for products that are free of harsh chemicals and derived from natural ingredients. So when a brand harnesses the power of nature to bring efficient products to it's consumers, it is a beautiful thing!
One such great brand is Seventh Generation. Their products are as efficacious as any top brand, but they do it by using plant-based ingredients to create healthy products. When it comes to skin care products, all-natural and chemical-free is the only way to go. I have a huge problem with products containing parabens and pore-clogging chemicals, i break out like crazy! So when I got a chance to try Seventh Generation Soothing skin serum, I jumped on it. The serum is very  light, absorbs quickly and doesn't leave the greasy residue or sticky feel. It is fragrance free (I could not detect any) and it is USDA certified for biobased ingredients. Natural ingredients like oat, Argan, Rosemary and Apricot soothe and calm the problem skin and balances uneven skin tone. As you can see, just one application left the skin my hand smoother, shinier, softer and more even. The bottle has a little nozzle, so you end up taking only the necessary amount every time.

Speaking of nature, I find myself I am happiest when I am among nature. Most of the time our family end up taking vacation where we can literally be in the lap of Mother Nature. Recently we were in west coast of Canada and came back rejuvenated and energized - ready for the daily grind of big City! Here are some pictures from out trip - I can just look back at them and feel the soothing, calming feeling that only nature can provide! (Just like the Seventh Generation serum!):-)

If you want to know more about Seventh Generation, their initiative in creating plant based products and their vision for environmentally sustainable products, take a look at this video! I am going to try their soap bars next!!:-)
